The following materials are available for the housing:
Cast iron GG25, cast steel GS-C 25 and cast stainless steel 1.4408.
The sieve inserts have a large filter area - the material is generally
stainless steel. They are made of perforated plate or of perforated
plate with wire cloth related to the filter rate.
Filtration ratings from 50 µm up are available. Sizes with screwed
connections from 1/2" up to 2". Sizes with flanged connections from
DN50 (2") up to DN200 (8"), alternatively acc. DIN or ANSI.
Working pressures of 40 bar and working temperatures of 260°C
are possible (depending on the material of the housing and seals).
Y-strainers are often used for applications with water, steam, oil
or fuel. However, they are suitable for higher viscosities and other
media, too. The simple and effective design guarantees a general use.
