2. Purpose of data processing, legal basis and storage period

2.1 Accessing and use of the website

Whenever the website and its subpages are accessed, usage data are transmitted by the respective internet browser and stored in log files (server log files). This process is carried out anonymously. In the case of anonymization, the IP addresses are changed in such a way that they can no longer be assigned to an identified or identifiable natural person or can only be assigned with a disproportionate large amount of time, costs and effort. The data records stored in the process contain the following data: date and time of access, name of the subpage/file which is accessed, IP address, referrer URL (original URL from which you have accessed the website), data volume transferred as well as product and version information of the browser used. The log files are evaluated in anonymous form by the operator in order to further improve the website and make it more user-friendly, to find and rectify faults more quickly and to control server capacities. For example, it can be retraced at what time the use of the website is particularly popular and the operator can provide appropriate data volume.

The admissibility of this processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR (user relationship) and Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR (legitimate interest). The legitimate interest of DELTAFILTER lies in providing a website with information and services to its customers as well as optimising the operation of the website. The provision of personal data is neither prescribed by law nor contractually and is not necessary for the conclusion of a contract. Moreover, you are not obliged to provide personal data. However, if you do not provide your data, you may not be able to use the website or not be able to use it to its full extent.

The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for the above-mentioned purposes (usually after 30 days).

2.2 Contact form and email

If you would like to contact DELTAFILTER, please use the contact form. In this form, you have to provide the following information: company, first name, surname and e-mail address. In addition, you can voluntarily provide the following information: department, street and house number, postal code and city, telephone number and fax number. Furthermore, you can provide detailed technical information about the products you need and/or those you already use. Such information will help us to better process your request.

Alternatively, it is possible to contact us using the e-mail address provided. In this case, the user’s personal data transmitted with the e-mail will be stored. Please note that unencrypted e-mails sent via the Internet are not sufficiently protected against unauthorised access by third parties.

The legal basis for the processing of data is Art. 6 para. 1 b) GDPR (pre-contractual measure). DELTAFILTER requires the data in order to be able to answer your request and to conclude a contract with you. This will not be possible if you do not provide your data.

The personal data processed will be deleted after expiry of any legal retention periods, unless DELTAFILTER has a legitimate interest in further storage.
